Demoskene.katastro.fi exhibition aims at presenting one point of view of the development of digital media art from the late 1980s to the present day: the point of view of the generation who grew up with PCs and games and began making art directly in a digital format with the new technologies.
The demos of this sort have not previously been displayed in an exhibition of this size, at least not with a comprehensive approach to the demoscene as a cultural phenomenon. The recording and documentation of the works and the equipment used is also significant.
