FRI 10.8. and SAT 11.8. 7 pm, Stoa
Tickets: 15/10e

Two female and four male dancers, all from different cultural backgrounds, go on a search for their own roots and discover fragments of another identity, their second ID, which is seamlessly integrated in their everyday lives. Hip-hop is not only synonymous with a certain attitude towards life for them, but also stands for certain esthetics. This production combines dance styles of contemporary culture like b-boyin’, poppin’, lockin’, new style, krumpin’ and house dance with elements of traditional dances to form a powerful performance.

E-Motion comprises members of the Berlin-based B-Boy Crew Flying Steps Amigo and Benny, the Düsseldorf-based Takao Baba and Nadia Espiritu as well as Lil’ Rock and Andrea Böge from Stuttgart. 2nd ID is a collaboration with the former Forsythe dramaturg Célestine Hennermann.

Dance and Choreography: Takao Baba, Andrea Böge, Niranh Chanthabouasy aka Lil’ Rock, Nadia Espiritu, Kadir Memis aka Amigo, Benny Kimoto; Dramaturgy: Célestine Hennermann; Production Management: Joachim Goldschmidt; Video: Philip Bußmann
