Family Day in Kiasma | Saturday 1 March 2014

The Family Day activities are designed for age groups 0–3-year-olds, 3–6-year-olds, and over 6-year-olds. Family ticket costs 10 euros (two adults and children under 18).

The day features a puppet theatre performance called The Wonderful Machine. Tickets for puppet theatre performance are sold separately and they cost €5/person.
Tickets can be reserved and purchased beforehand from Kiasma´s info, info@kiasma.fi, tel. 0294 500 501. Performances in Finnish are at 11 am and 1 pm, and in Swedish at 3 pm.

Registration for Family Day guided tours takes place in Kiasma on the day. No advance registration is needed for the workshops.

This exhibition is curated by 3–6-year-olds from the Vironniemi daycare centre in Helsinki. Some of the curators are present during the Family Day from 10 am to 4 pm. In Finnish.

Guided Monster Tours for 3–6-year-olds accompanied by adults in Finnish at 12 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm. Register for the tour on the day in the Kiasma Theatre foyer on the 1st floor. Max. 20 persons/tour.

Puppet theatre ensemble Hotvasa’s
The wonderful machine is for 3-year-olds and up. Performances in Kiasma Theatre in Finnish at 11 am and 1 pm, and in Swedish at 3 pm. Tickets for puppet theatre performance are sold separately and they cost €5/person. The performance is a seamless combination of puppet theatre, animation, sound art and jazz. The duration of the performance is about 55 minutes. After the show, the children are invited to stay and talk with the puppets and their world with the actors.
