Vito Acconci & Vladislav Delay

Performance installation

The audience can follow the building and demounting of this audiovisual piece co-created by an American contemporary artist and a Finnish sound artist.

The legendary Vito Acconci and sound artist Vladislav Delay will create a unique audiovisual performance installation in Kiasma’s first floor foyer. The processual one-off installation will give the audience an opportunity to follow the construction of the piece and to meet the artists at their work.

Vito Acconci (b. 1941, USA) has moved in the field of art from poetry to performance to sound and video art. His works in the 1970s explored the boundaries of the private and the public space and those of the performer and the audience. Acconci has subsequently focused on architectural installations in public spaces.

Vladislav Delay (Sasu Ripatti, b. 1976, Finland) is a composer, sound artist and experimental music producer. He has published more than 20 albums to critical acclaim, and has collaborated with numerous musicians, bands and artists.
