Guillermo Gómez-Peña is Mexican born, San Francisco based performance artist, writer, activist and radical pedagogue, and director of the performance troupe La Pocha Nostra.His solo performances which have been characterized as Chicano cyber-punk discuss cultural diversity and border culture also creating various border-crossings.

Gómez-Peña is also known as performance scholar and writer whose books like Exercises for Rebel Artists: Radical Performance Pedagogy (2011), Ethno-Techno: Writings on Performance, Activism and Pedagogy (2005) and Dangerous Border Crossers: The Artist Talks Back (2000) have become classics of art activism.
